ABOUT FOOD COLOURS

"Before we taste our food, we first feed our eyes." This fact supports that whenever we eat food, we look at the colour. When it doesnt match the colour of the food being described then doubt may arise on our mind, thus we may not be prompted to taste the food. However, if the food described resembles the colour that we expect, then the more likely that we are enticed to taste or eat that food. This is the reason why food colours are thriving in the market. It has been noted that a food that is called pineapple flavoured, if it is not yellowish, then we might not believe that it is pineapple. But if it is yellowish, then immediately we conclude that it is pineapple. We have range of food colours from water soluble to oil soluble liquid and powder.
